Evaluation

The inspiration of this idea came to me from my history teacher as we studied about the industrial revolution and what affect it had on the population. My collage depicted how child labor was in practice during the industrial revolution. 

The motive of this collage is to raise awareness of the history of child labor and how it is now days. I started my process by finding pictures related to the industrial revolution and children working. The aim of this was to present child labor as a very serious matter. I plan to present this collage by giving out fliars in large communities and promoting it on the internet by putting them in place of adds in youtube. 

The AOI of this task was health and social service as it affects the children's health and vialates human rights. 

I think i did good and reached my goal as i was successful in  presenting the information in a serious and appealing matter which would attract attention from the viewers.

I have been given a task to make college on a topic. The topics that need one of the attention is the topic of child labor. In some places in India child labor is still practiced. I am going to create a collage showing all the aspects of child labor through pictures.

WHAT IS A COLLAGE?

A collage is a piece of art made by sticking various different materials. A collage is basically a mashed up image of photographs and pieces of paper or fabric on to a base.

This image of a dog is made by using different types of textures and pieces of paper hence it is a collage.  

WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?

Collage is a form of art and is often used in that field to create a picture or a painting using many elements and textures. Collage is a style used to make normal pictures more attractive and appealing.

Dreamweaver

What I did…

Our task was to create a web page about our Tec Fare project using a software called Dreamweaver. We were suppose to explore different displays and commands that would help us make our website look more visually exciting. At first I had problems but slowly I started understanding it and making a web page became much more fun than before.

What have I learned…

l  Table- go to insert and then table add the number of rows and columns and press enter.

l  Merge Cells- Select the column and then right click and go on table and click on merge cells.

l  Preview- To preview how your website looks in the internet go on the icon on the bar above and click on the icon with an earth on it. Then click on which type of browser you would like to see it in.

l  Color Text- To add color to the text you will have to first select the text and then click on a box next to the size icon in the bottom bar. Click on the box a wide range of color choices will open select a color and press enter.

l  Color Row- To color a row first select it and then click on a box below the size icon to select a color then press enter.

Uses

Pros-

• This device provides electricity absolutely free.
• Uses no fuel and has no emissions.
• Is very cheap to make and can be started by a push of your hand.
• Can deliver electricity to any device.
• Can switch on and off automatically.
• Can be up graded and be made much much powerful.
• Is good for exercise.

Cons-

• It is too heavy and big to carry anywhere.
• Takes to much mechanical energy to work.
• Dosen't produce too much electricity.

REAL LIFE APPLICATIONS...

Is an alternative way to produce electricity. Is eco-friendly as it turns mechanical energy into electrical energy. Bigger versions of these devices could be used in the power plants in the future as it would store energy to a battery, which would then be supplied to other houses. It could also be used as a secondary source of power for example -  when the power fails in your house and you have to charge your mobile you could connect it to this device and charge it.

Our final design...

We bought a tire and used the chain system in a cycle to create a peddle system to rotate the wheel. The wheel is then connected to a dynamo directly. When the wheel moves the magnet in the dynamo rotates    creating electricity which is then picked up by copper wire and sent to a switch. The switch basically broke and connected the electricity circuit hence it could switch off or switch onn the bulb that was powered by the dynamo. The switch was then connected to the bulb which received power from the dynamo. To hold all of this we made a stand by welding metal.

We added a NXT motor to show that this device could be stopped and started automatically. So what we basically did was that a motor was placed next to the switch. A timer was set for the motor to go off and on, so when the timer went off the motor started clockwise rotation and switched of the motor. The benefit of this was that if this device was used in the theatre industry and there was a stage show going on and you wanted all the lights to go off at a particular time the motor would switch them off.  

Planning and Reflection for Tech Fair

Aim-The aim for our Tech Fare project was to create a cycle generator that produced energy.

Features-The generator would turn mechanical energy to electrical energy and it would also switch off when the timer of the NXT motor runs out.

How we made it?

We gathered all the following materials.We made a stand by welding metal.We then attached a wheel to the stand.We took out a chain system from a cycle and added a pully that would allow us to rotate it.We added a dynamo connecting to the wheel. So when the wheel rotates the dynamo rotates  producing electricity and powering the bulb.We added a switch to start and stop the bulb.We added a motor next to the switch and connected it to a next programmer. This would then start and stop the motor when the timer in the nxt runs out.

I think we were successful as we were able to make it as we planned it and it worked properly.

CYCLE GENERATOR

What is a cycle generator?
It is basically a cycle connected to a motor. When someone rides it the motor moves and creates electricity. The electricity could then be used to power an appliance. It is a really good way of producing electricity as you can exercise and produce electricity. We are also going to add a voltometer to tell the number of vaults released. We are also going to add a timer that stops the wheel when the time's up.

game that we make is probably gonna be addicting and people are supposed to love it we aim to make it like new game flappy bird.

Advantages:
The advantages to this idea is that its not that hard to code and you can have different people doing the design and the coding.

Disadvantages:
To make a perfect game without faults will be a challenge! The reason it will be a challenge is because you want to be creative and not copy any ideas from others and you need to know how to work with such programs.

Edited video-this is gonna be about ma and my teammates making a regular boring video and edit it so it becomes an amazing video. this is probably the best idea because its original and because it does not requier any payments.

Pros:
It is fun and very easy to make. We all like making videos and Frederik is good at editing and we have a good camera for filming so this is our best option.

Cons:
it might be a problem whose camera to use and it isnt as easy to edit and to act at the right times. Also we don't know which computer to use.
